Manytalks privacy policy
Effective date: September 5, 2026 · Last updated: September 5, 2026
Manytalks ("we," "us," "our") explains what information we collect, how we use it, and who it's shared with.
If you have questions, contact our support team.
1. Information we collect
Account information: Name, email, phone number, username, password/authentication details, and any organization info you provide.
Connected social account information: When you connect Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, or another supported channel, we receive account/profile identifiers and an access token scoped to the permissions you approve. We never display or export raw access tokens to you or anyone else.
Social/messaging content: Depending on the permissions you grant and features you enable, this may include comments, direct messages, message metadata, and engagement/insights data made available by the connected platform.
Usage data: IP address, device/browser info, login timestamps, and general product usage.
Business data: Automation rules, campaign configuration, and tracked-link click data (via our link service).
Billing: Handled by Stripe or Razorpay, depending on your workspace. We store your plan/subscription status and invoice history — not your full card number.
2. Third-party account permissions (Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp)
When you connect a Meta or WhatsApp account, we request specific permissions needed for the features you use — for example, permission to read and reply to comments, or to send/receive DMs — as approved in the Meta App Dashboard and granted by you at connect time.
Stored? Yes — message/comment content needed to run your automations and show your Inbox is stored, tied to your account.
Retention: Message and comment content is retained for as long as your account is active, to support your automation history and analytics, and deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request. Connected-account identifiers and tokens are deleted immediately when you disconnect an account.
Revoking access: Disconnect from Settings, or revoke the app's permission directly in your Meta account settings. This stops all future syncing immediately.
After revocation: Previously synced data follows the retention schedule above unless you separately request deletion (Section 11) — disconnecting and deleting are different actions.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
| Recipient | What's shared | Why |
|---|---|---|
| AI providers | Message/comment text relevant to the reply being generated | Powers AI auto-reply features, if enabled |
| Cloud hosting providers | Platform data, encrypted | Hosting |
| Payment processor (Stripe or Razorpay, depending on your workspace) | Billing/transaction data | Payments |
| Meta / Instagram / Facebook / WhatsApp | Content you send back through the platform | These platforms process it under their own privacy policies once received |
| Legal/regulatory authorities | As required | Compliance with valid legal requests |
Your data reaches the providers above only as needed to operate Manytalks and the features you enable.
4. Data generated by the platform
We distinguish three sources: (1) what you give us directly, (2) what we pull from connected platforms under your granted permissions, and (3) what the platform generates on its own — automation logs, usage stats, derived analytics, system logs.
5. AI features
If AI-powered replies or classification are enabled, the relevant message/comment text is sent to a third-party AI model under commercial API terms to generate a response. Under standard commercial API terms, providers used for this feature do not use your data to train their general-purpose models (this is separate from, and does not apply to, free/consumer chat products, which typically have different terms). You can disable AI automations from Settings at any time.
6. Cookies & tracking
Essential cookies (login/session), product analytics for usage and reliability, and link-click tracking for links you create inside the product (timestamp, referrer, approximate location, device type). Marketing cookies only if enabled for your workspace.
7. Data retention
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Account data | While your account is active; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request |
| Connected account data (tokens, identifiers) | Deleted immediately on disconnect |
| Message/comment content | While your account is active, to support automation history; deleted within 30 days of a deletion request |
| System logs | 90 days |
| Backups | Rolling 30-day backups |
8. Data security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted by role and logged. We do not currently hold third-party security certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) — if that changes, this section will be updated to reflect it.
9. Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete your data, withdraw consent, revoke connected-account permissions, or request a portable copy at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live, a data protection law may give you further rights; those apply in addition to, not instead of, the rights above.
10. Children's privacy
This is a business tool and is not directed at children. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Data deletion
Disconnect connected accounts from Settings, then request full deletion by emailing our support team with the subject line “Data deletion request.” We delete account data within 30 days of your request, except where we're legally required to retain it, and residual backup copies age out per Section 7.
12. International data transfers
Some service providers we use for hosting, analytics, or AI features operate globally and may process data in other countries, including the United States, as part of their standard infrastructure.
13. Changes to this policy
We'll update the date above and notify you of material changes.
